The VDV226-011-SEN is Quick & Efficient
To create clean cuts, insert the cable into the cutting cavity on the back of the tool and fully close the handles completing the cut and ratcheting cycle. Stripping flat/ribbon type with 4, 6, or 8 conductors is as easy as using the cutter's raised depth gauge for the appropriate size. For twisted pair cable, there is designated area to place the cable and rotate the tool around 3 to 5 times to score the jacket for removal.
After a cable is prepped, the VDV226-011-SEN does what it does best; Reliably crimp on a modular plug. This is simply done by squeezing the ratcheting handles until the crimping cycle is complete. The full-cycle ratcheting handles prevent the release of the connector prior to full compression.
