The Fiber-Optic Cross-Connect Closure (FOSC 400 XCON) optimizes fiber deployment in the distribution network when used as a carrier demarcation point in aerial, pedestal, handhole, and manhole applications.
The mechanical clamping system features built-in leveraging device for quick and easy entry. On the inside of the closure, hinged doors open to reveal two trays for splicing 96 fibers from up to 12 cables to pre-installed connector pigtails. The doors close and lock to isolate the splicing area. “In” and “out” fibers can then be connected with patch cords to provide service as required.
- One size sleeve accommodates any cable in any port
- Adding new cables is easy and does not affect existing cables
- Design minimizes sealing surface, increases reliability
