 Trilithic's IFS-3A is a special purpose, multiple output modulator designed specifically for operation in the Trilithic EASy System.
The IFS-3A occupies only 1 U of headend rack space and is deployed in systems where dual l.F. substitution is required. The I.F. signals are distributed to the modulators by way of Trilithic's EASy I.F. Distribution System.
The IFS-3A accepts baseband video and audio inputs from the Trilithic PSC-901A Controller and provides individually accessible 4.5 MHz audio subcarrier, video I.F. at 45.75 MHz and audio I.F. at 41.25 MHz signal outputs. The I.F. signal is appropriate for injection into the video I.F. or audio I.F. inputs of any dual I.F. loop NTSC modulator. The 4.5 MHz Audio subcarrier is suitable for use in any application where a 4.5 MHz audio subcarrier is required.
