The OmniStar GX2-RFA1000B provides amplification of forward path RF signals in headend or hub locations. It can feed a 1550 nm broadcast transmitter, which typically needs higher RF levels, or you can split the amplified signals and feed many 1310 nm distribution transmitters. The GX2-RFA1000B uses a Motorola RF amplifier integrated circuit to provide high linearity, low-noise, and low distortions. You can adjust the integrated attenuator to obtain specific RF output levels, and you can easily compensate high-frequency roll-off due to headend cabling with the integrated slope control.
The compact, energy-efficient design enables 16 plug-n-play operate in the four rack-unit OmniStar GX2 housing, minimizing valuable headend space. Enhanced with PowerPC technology by Motorola, the GX2 application modules introduce a new found intelligence to headend equipment. The hot-swappable modules with unique embedded features like Quick-Swap module configuration maximize in-service time by eliminating the need for manual configuration.
