 DIAMOND’s Aluminum Tap Bracket is used in CATV drop installation to secure a tap to messenger strand when it cannot be attached directly. The unit is offset below the strand preventing cable abrasion on the equipment housing.
Features
· 2-1/2" size (distance between strap and tap).
· Bracket and clamping plates are made of high grade aluminum alloy with 45,000 psi tensile strength.
· Bolt and nut are made of high tensile strength steel. Mechanically galvanized to meet ASTM specifications A153 and B695.
· Square hole in bracket prevents bolt rotation when the nut is tightened.
· Tap mounting hole accepts up to a 5/16" bolt (max.).
· Designed for 1/4" (6.6M) and 5/16" (6M) messenger strand.
· Bent top edge of bracket prevents bolt rotation when the nut is tightened.
· Interlocking clamping plate assures a positive and secure grip on the messenger strand. |
