Performance Milenium Series Multi-taps represent an integrated product line designed for superior system performance. Each Milenium multi-tap is built, tested and quality assured for maximum electrical and mechanical specifications.
Conditioning Now Standard All Milenium Taps have the capability to accommodate plug-in modules. A variety of plug-ins are available to condition the downstream or upstream signed to optimize performance. Conditioning allows each tap location to be tailored for its specific requirement, conditioning only the subscriber ports without affecting the through insertion loss.

Protection From the Environment When corrosion is a concern, there are no concerns with Milenium. For protection from the environment, each Milenium multi-tap undergoes a four-stage corrosion process: · A 360 aluminum alloy housing (the most corrosive-resistant alloy for diecasting on the market.) · The housing is then impregnated with a sealer to eliminate porosity. · Clear chromate coating are then applied inside and out to protect the aluminum and prevent corrosion. · Two polyurethane coatings are applied for superior protection.
All Milenium hardware is made from heat-treated stainless steel and has proprietary plating to reduce galvanic reaction. Our corrosion protection, however, does not stop at the exterior of the mutlitap. A unique grounding system between the PCB and the base plate eliminates long-term performance degradation that is due to oxidation and corrosion.
Installation Features Rotational seizure posts have a single screw for simple installation. Drips wells, numbered ports and a strip gauge make in-field installation easier, consistent and reliable. Tap values are color coded for identification. A neoprene weather gasket and EMI gasket are located on the baseplate. This guarantees a fresh gasket is automatically installed when the baseplate is replaced.
Low Insertion Loss Most system design engineers consider insertion loss to be an important factor when selecting a multi-tap. Milenium multi-taps feature three-tenths to one-half of a dB lower insertion loss than most multi-taps on the market.
Bypass Now Standard All Milenium tap housings come standard with the USP feature for Uninterruptible Signal and power when the base plate is removed.
Surge and Ground Loop Protection For protection from surges and nearby lightning strikes, the taps are built with 1,000 volt, self-healing film capacitor capable of withstanding an instantaneous surge of up to 3,000 volts. In addition, to eliminate subscriber ports burning out due to different ground loop potentials, all MGT Series multi-taps are built with blocking capacitors at each subscriber port.
Superior Hum Modulation The Milenium 1 GHz multitaps use a special ferrite blend that minimizes core saturation. Milenium mutlitaps are, therefore, able to provide the best RF specifications and lowest hum modulation.
· Available in two, four or eight outputs. · All baseplates are interchangeable. · Aerial or pedestal mountable. · Multi-tap housings can accommodate telephony baseplates for NIU subscriber powering. · Patented CAM-Port “F” connectors eliminate contact plating wear and corrosion while ensuring a mechanical camming action for consistent contact pressure. · Plastic cover protects components when the baseplate is removed. · Self-healing 1,000 volt film capacitors guarantee superior surge protection. · Baseplates are keyed and have a four-bolt down for proper baseplate assembly and maximum EMI. · Main line entry points are ribbed for proper adhesion of heat shrink · Upgradeable to Addressability · E-Conditioning Standard · USP bypass Standard |
